This book starts by Anne bringing up a subject which sprang to mind during a conversation when they visited Johns mother some time ago. The subject was briefly about America, one specific part of it simply mentioned buy not really discussed in detail due probably to John changing the subject. This was noticed by Anne however whilst ignored at the time now asked a specific question about that area. Why that area he wondered Anne was clearly probing. The question brought back a lot of memories and although not one to deliberately keep details of anything from Anne his perfect partner, the fine details of some past history had never been discussed, mainly because it was work related and a thing of the past and not at all relevant to the modern era they now lived happily in. Now however being asked a specific question by Anne probably wise to go into more detail rather than seem secretive of past events. It proved to be a long winded story but one that was better to reveal now asked, rather than Anne feel he was deliberately being secretive by leaving her out of past history. Now the subject has come up best to elaborate on the fine details and likely once heard soon forgotten! It is old history, we are here and over time best sometimes to ignore the past, its gone and we can neither change past events or even pick up the threads of ancient events. He began with the once upon a time story as they sat comfortably on the sofa and went into a lot of details not just the good bits but better to reveal all than have a constant question and answer routine which might be taken out of context and its only when you know the fine details that it becomes clear as to why people make decision or in some case fail to make a choice from options that are simply taken as a "No" in response that things then take a course of events that later prove to be unwise, only because they were never given all the pieces of the story to enable the correct decision to be made and leading to what on reflection became the wrong decision. This is book three in the Arizona series and read on to discover the layers of history that unravel like layers peeled from an onion then follow the rest of the series. Enjoy!
